A BIT OF HISTORY
The Motherhouse of the Saint-Joseph Sisters was established in September 1889. This imposing brick building is etched into the history of St-Hyacinthe. In 1929, a large, magnificent chapel was added to the building. Today, it serves as a remarkably peaceful and luminous space. An important section was built later in 1946 to accommodate the students of the Saint-Joseph Normal School. On the facade, bricks in various shades reflect the building’s progressive expansions and history. In July 2014, Groupe Robin acquired this magnificent property. The building was renamed Maison d’Élisabeth, in memory of its founder, Sister Elizabeth Bergeron.

The impressive building also offers tenants quiet, warm spaces such as a library, relaxation room and gym. The backyard and its swings are perfect for enjoying the warm months outdoors.
