Groupe Robin wins a prestigious Mercure Award for Community Engagement.

Saint-Hyacinthe, May 12, 2026 — Groupe Robin is proud to announce that it has won the Mercure Engagement dans la collectivité (Community Engagement Award) at the 46th edition of the Mercuriades organized by the Fédération des chambres de commerce du Québec, one of the highest distinctions in Quebec’s business community.

This award highlights Groupe Robin’s sustained involvement in the communities where the company operates.

“Community engagement is not a business strategy. It is a collective responsibility. This recognition deeply moves us because it reflects the human values that have driven our family business since its beginnings”

For more than 50 years, the family and team members have been involved in numerous social, economic, and community initiatives aimed at making a positive impact in the regions where the company develops, builds, and operates its real estate projects, notably in Saint-Hyacinthe, Trois-Rivières, and Granby.

Among the standout initiatives is the Soirée des Lilas, a fundraising event created in Trois-Rivières in support of the Quebec Cancer Foundation. The event helps fund services offered at the regional center and the Mauricie lodging facility for people affected by cancer. Nellie Robin has served as founding member and honorary president of the event for the past three years, bringing together 1,000 women annually at the Colisée Vidéotron. Thanks to the dedicated women who led the 2024 and 2025 editions, more than $458,000 has been donated to the Foundation, and the 3rd edition, to be held on May 26, 2026, is already sold out.

The team is also committed to a long-term vision through its involvement with organizations such as the Fondation du bénévolat maskoutain, the Fondation du Collège Saint-Maurice, the Fondation du Collège Laflèche, the St-Hyacinthe Multifunctional Library, as well as through board participation with Tourisme Mauricie, the Chambre de commerce de la grande région de St-Hyacinthe, Commerce Tourisme Granby région, and many charitable organizations and events, including Relay for Life, the Alzheimer Society, and the Fondation Aline-Letendre.

Lastly, Nellie Robin is also involved in promoting the Canadian Armed Forces Reserve within the business community as Honorary Lieutenant-Colonel of the 6th Battalion of the Royal 22e Régiment, as well as Honorary Representative of the 34 Canadian Brigade Group.

Recognizing a collective effort

For Groupe Robin, this award is above all a recognition of the collective effort behind its projects and community involvement.

“This Mercure Award means a great deal to us because it recognizes something that goes beyond buildings and projects: the human connections we build within our communities. This award also belongs to the 325 members of our team. Behind every one of our initiatives are generous people who give their time and energy and genuinely want to make a difference”

Groupe Robin also wishes to take this opportunity to congratulate all finalists of the 2026 Mercuriades, who also actively contribute to the development and vitality of Quebec.
