Granby, June 23, 2026 — Groupe Robin is proud to announce the official opening of its brand-new dual-branded hotel in Granby, featuring the Holiday Inn Express® and Candlewood Suites® brands, will take place on June 24. Representing an investment of over $20 million, this major project is now welcoming its first guests and further enhances the region’s hotel offering. As Groupe Robin’s fifth hotel, it marks a key milestone in the expansion of its hospitality expertise.
Meeting evolving market needs
Strategically located at the intersection of Highways 112 and 139, the hotel offers 128 studios and suites designed to accommodate a diverse clientele, including leisure, corporate and sports travelers. True to Groupe Robin’s vision, this new hotel complex delivers a flexible lodging experience, whether for short or extended stays.
The addition of the Candlewood Suites® brand, which specializes in extended stays, addresses a growing demand for functional and comfortable accommodations, particularly among workers and professionals on assignment. Meanwhile, Holiday Inn Express® offers a streamlined and welcoming experience focused on short stays, combining comfort and essential services for both leisure and business travelers. Together, these complementary brands provide a complete, modern and flexible lodging solution tailored to a wide range of needs.
A project that supports Granby’s growth
With the creation of approximately 30 jobs, this opening contributes directly to the local economy and aligns with efforts to support Granby’s tourism development, complementing existing infrastructure such as the convention centre and the Granby Zoo.
